Overview

The Republic is a long-form journalism publication covering Africa, Nigeria, and the diaspora. They had outgrown the WordPress and WooCommerce setup that had carried them for years — slow, hard to extend, and a daily friction for the editorial team. We rebuilt the whole thing from scratch: a new public site, a new backend, and a custom content management system built around how their editors actually work. The print magazine subscription business, the online shop, and worldwide shipping all run through the same system.

What we did
